you to meet the staff of the St. John’s Home for Children. These are
the incredible people that help make the St. John’s Home for
Children what it is on a daily basis, and dedicate themselves to
serving the children and families entrusted to our care. We are
especially grateful for their service and commitment to the St.
John’s Home for Children.

Mr.
Terry McCormick is our Executive Director. Terry joined the St.
John’s Home in 1992. He holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from
The Ohio State University, a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from
Wheeling Jesuit University, received his teacher certification from
West Liberty State College, and is a graduate of the Leadership
Wheeling program. He is a certified trainer of Non-Violent Passive
Physical Restraint by the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) of
Wisconsin. His entire career of 20+ years has been in Children’s
Services in roles that have included being a Case Manager, Social
Services Coordinator and a Residential Program Director prior to
joining the St. John’s Home. He is a licensed social worker and
teacher (Social Studies) in West Virginia. He is a member of the
National Association of Social Workers, Academy of Certified Social
Workers, The Ohio State University Alumni Association, the Knights
of Columbus, and Ancient Order of Hibernians. He serves as Treasurer
of the West Virginia Child Care Association, and has served in
teaching Junior Achievement to local grade school youth. He is a
member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church where he serves as a
Eucharistic Minister, Lector.
He is an avid sports fan, enjoys bicycling and traveling, Jimmy
Buffett music, the beach, and loves all things Irish. |

Mr.
Kenny Fisher is our Assistant Director. He has been with the St.
John’s Home since 1987. Kenny is a member of our Continuous Quality
Improvement Program/Human Resources Committee, and Human Rights
Committee (Chairperson). Kenny holds a Masters Degree in Counseling
Psychology from West Virginia University and a B.S. in Social Work
from West Liberty State College. His work background of 20+ years
includes being a Case Manager for the elderly in public housing,
supervisor of a pre-independent living program for adolescents,
director of an emergency child shelter, and a family therapist. He
cites that his most profound education came from growing up on a
dairy farm with 3 brothers and a sister. Kenny resides in Wheeling
and has two teenage boys Kalin and Kody. His primary interests
include reading, biking, trying to get into physical shape, and
simply having fun each day. |

Mr.
Corey Anderson is a Youth Care Worker who has been with the St.
John’s Home since 2003. Corey is currently pursuing a biology degree
at West Liberty State College and plans to pursue a Masters degree
in physician assistant studies. Corey has four children (3 girls and
a boy). He enjoys a variety of music, Stephen King books, football,
and the movies. |

Toya
Cunningham is our Case Manager. Toya has been with the St. John’s Home
for Children since 1989. Toya is a member of our Continuous Quality
Improvement Program/Human Resources Committee. She holds a Masters
Degree in Community Health Education from West Virginia University and a
bachelors degree in Liberal Arts from Wheeling Jesuit University. She is
a licensed Social Worker in West Virginia. Toya is also credentialed as
a Certified Health Education Specialist by the National Commission for
Health Education Credentialing, Inc., and is certified by the FEMA
Emergency Management Institute as an Emergency First Responder. |

Mrs.
Judy Ebbert is a Youth Care Worker. She joined the St. John’ Home in
2004. She is a life-long resident of Wheeling. She is a graduate of
the Pittsburgh Accounting College, and has taken some courses in
Early Childhood development. She has an extensive background working
in beauty shops. She is married and has two adult children and one
younger child. She enjoys cooking and going ice- skating. |

Mr.
Chad Kocher is a Youth Care Worker who has been with the St. John’s
Home since 1997. He is a member of our Continuous Quality
Improvement Program/Human Resources Committee. Chad has a bachelors
degree in Social Services from Ohio University. Chad is a certified
trainer of Non-Violent Passive Physical Restraint by the Crisis
Prevention Institute (CPI) of Wisconsin. Chad is a resident of
Powhatan Point, OH. He describes his favorite hobbies as football,
football and more football. |

Mr.
Bob Lydick is our Head Maintenance worker. Bob has been with the St.
John’s Home since 2001. Bob is a member of our Continuous Quality
Improvement Facilities Committee. He is a lifelong resident of
Wheeling and considered a “jack of all trades”. He is affectionately
called “Bob the Builder” by our youth and he enjoys teaching them
the rewards of hard work. He enjoys spending time with his wife
(Patty) and two children (Bee and Rod) with whom he enjoys playing
and watching sports. He also likes to take long walks with his dogs.
Bob likes to humorously say that he looks forward to retirement but
isn’t sure it will ever happen. |

Laurel Mallery
joined the St. John’s Home in July 2005. Laurel is originally from
Wellsburg, WV and is a graduate of Brooke High School. She has 3
grown and wonderful sons, Todd, Troy and Randall. Laurel enjoys
being outdoors, loves the beach, watching sports (especially
hockey), and loves being around her family and friends. |

Sue
Materkoski is our Secretary. Sue joined the St. John’s Home in
January of 2008. Sue serves on our Continuous Quality Improvement
Facilities Committee, Program/Human Resources Committee and Case
Records Committee. Sue resides in Bellaire, OH with her husband
Gary. They have two children, Matthew who resides in Columbus, OH
and Shana, who resides in Maryland. Sue loves to spend time with her
family, friends, and her dog Harley. |

Roseann Mays is a Youth Care Worker. Roseann joined the St. John’s
Home team in 1998. Roseann is a member of our Continuous Quality
Improvement Facilities Committee. She has an Associates Degree in
Computer Information Processing. She has three children (two girls
and a boy) and one grandson and one granddaughter. |

Mr.
Tim Murrin is a Youth Care Worker. Tim has been with the St. John’s
Home since 1995. He is a member of our Continuous Quality
Improvement Facilities Committee. Tim has a bachelors degree in
Physical Education from West Virginia Wesleyan College. He is a
lifelong resident of Wheeling. Tim enjoys spending time with his
wife Lori, two stepsons (Hans and Trenton) and his sons (Brady and
Maddox). Tim is a member of the YMCA, Snakes Club, Knights of
Columbus and a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity. He enjoys
sports (football, NASCAR, weightlifting), and motorcycle riding. |

Jennifer
Novak is a Youth Care Worker. Jennifer joined the St. John’s Home in
2000. She is a member of our Continuous Quality Improvement Program/
Human Resources Committee. Jennifer loves to play basketball and
football and states that her favorite author is Nora Roberts. |
Trista
is our cook. She moved into that position in September 2008. She
also serves as a Relief Youth Care Worker. Trista is a member of our
Continuous Quality Improvement Facilities Committee. Trista is a
graduate of Davis & Elkins College with a degree in psychology and
human services and hospitality management. Trista resides in
Wheeling with her best friend and enjoys working at Walt Disney
World in Orlando, FL in her spare time. Trista loves cooking for our
youth and encouraging them to try new and interesting foods. |

Stacy
Tysk is a Youth Care Worker. Stacy joined the St. John’s Home in
2003. Stacy is a member of our Continuous Quality Improvement
Program/Human Resources Committee. Stacy is a graduate of Marshall
University with a degree in Psychology. |
